Powel Names Scott Rogers to Serve as CEO in North America

St. Paul, MN (January 9, 2008) – Powel, Inc, an industry leader in providing field operations software applications to utilities worldwide, announced the appointment of Scott Rogers as the new CEO of Powel Inc, North America, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Powel ASA.

After conducting a nationwide search, the Powel Executive Board of Directors chose Rogers based on his track record leading technology based organizations within the utility industry, as well as his strong executive and personal qualities.  Rogers brings more than 22 years of utility experience and has most recently served as vice president of Utilities Associates running its Utilities Strategic Business. Prior positions include leading Allegheny Energy’s business application processes and information technology strategy. He is involved in various industry organizations and is currently on the Advisory Committee for the DistribuTECH Utility Conference.
