Maintenance Management

All utility assets need to be regularly inspected and serviced.  An efficient process requires ready access to all relevant data.  However, keeping track of all maintenance work for multiple assets can be an organizational and logistical challenge — especially within a large geographic area.

The Maintenance module gives you unprecedented control and choice — allowing you to make the most informed and cost-effective decisions on when to service, rebuild, or replace any asset.

The Powel Maintenance Management solution combines back-office analysis, planning, and work assignment with field-based inspections and maintenance tickets.  It helps utilities plan and allocate resources effectively so you can maximize the useful life of assets, optimize asset value, improve reliability and reduce costs. Maintenance Management is part of the WorkStudio Mobile Work Management platform.  It includes:

Maintenance Manager. In the office, this application allows you to analyze system assets, then plan, assign and manage all maintenance activities.  You can define inspection protocols for preventative, routine, corrective, and state-based maintenance, and then assign tasks to field personal through the WorkStudio Server.  Creating reports has never been easier.  The Maintenance Manger allows you to capture all data, and get an accurate evaluation of your total network.  It provides the information you need to benchmark maintenance efficiency, local performance, and total system performance.

InspectWorks. The mobile client enables on-site execution of inspection protocols and corrective action.  It returns observations of asset conditions and work results to the Maintenance Manager to feed ongoing analysis and planning.

WorkStudio Server.  The WorkStudio Server is the hub for all four WorkStudio solutions.  It manages communication with other systems and can interface with most industry-standard GIS, CIS, and Financial packages.  Information on the WorkStudio Server can be synchronized to mobile and desktop clients, as well as accessed utility-wide via InfoCenter, a Web-based reporting tool.  Everyone in the utility has access to the most up to date information.
